WHHEE! I WANNA GET MY HANDS ON THESE ITEMS :D WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR MY NEXT MONTH WORK MONEY TO BUY THE TOMS I GUESS..I LOVE THE ANIMAL PRINT ON THE INSIDE THEIR UBER CUTE! IM CONTEMPLATING OVER WHICH COLOUR TO GET... BLUE OR RED? PREVIOUSLY I WAS ALL OVER THE RED ONES...BUT NOW THE NAVY BLUE ONES SEEM TO EXUDE SO MUCH COOLNESS AND MYSTERY WHICH ARE SO CAPTIVATING TO ME!

I USED TO THINK TOMS WERE BORING..TILL I FOUND OUT THAT FOR EVERY PAIR YOU BUY ANOTHER PAIR GOES TO A CHILD IN NEED OF SHOES! WHICH I THINK IS SO COOL AND EXCITING! PLUS TOMS SEEM TO BE MAKING WAVES HERE IN SINGAPORE...AND I FOR ONE AM PRETTY MUCH A CROWD FOLLOWER..I HAVE TO ADMIT (HIDES IN SHAME)

AS FOR THE BAGGU IM THINKING OF GETTING IT IN WHITE..AS WHEN I SAW IT AT ROCKSTAR BY SOON LEE IT SORT OF HAD THIS CALICO TOUCH TO IT...I LOVED THAT IT FELT SO RAW!!! BUT THEN AGAIN.. WHITE BAGS ARE ALWAYS A PAIN :x MORE OVER... I DIDNT KNOW THEY WERE PRETTY CHEAP...AS THEIR ONLY $29 EACH... CHEAP!

The Notebook

Hello... I Just finished watching The Notebook, which was originally a book written by Nicholas Sparks..I must say its a great love story..that got me crying my eyes out..Although, my initial take of the film was a boring old movie which would keep me entertained as I waste my life away...till Jerome books out from camp..

I beg to differ now as I think it is a wonderful love story! Sigh and the leads in the play were awesome! They look so terribly in love with one another..that I felt as though I was truly taking a walk into their lives

Not to mention... the gorgeous vintage wear which Rachel Adams wore in the movie.. which fitted her so beautifully... Sighs...I couldn't find much pictures..but I guess these will have to do:

Lego anyone?

Hi...I know I have been absent here for a while... just thought I would pop in to share with anyone out there one of my obsession-Lego. I think my obsession started when I first saw Santhiya's Robyn Hood Lego Figurine! It was so adorable! That must have been like about 3-4 years ago! I love lego- the bold colours make everything look oh so retro :D me like

Actually.. I seem to lean more towards lego figurines as a whole... Their all so adorable! Plus... they come in so many different designs! Like pirates,cooks, racers and their latest edition ( or so I think) Toys Story 3!

OMG! Just look at the soldiers from the Toys Story 3 Collection! Their so cute!! Little Green Men which also somehow reminds me of my boy boy :D Im thinking of buying a set! Their going for like $27 ish...I think


And Lego is also seriously timeless! My students still talk to me anout lego all the time and how they built sets with their parents at home which I think is such a great family bonding idea and oh so adorable! In the future, Jerome and I would defintely be doing that with our son!

vintage wheels

I've always had a thing for cars and vespas... especially vintage models! I think their so beautifully designed..and their shape has such edge.. I really wanna own one when I'm older! I pray that they don't go obscelete in the future..Sigh..we live in such an evolving world..at sometimes i simply cant keep up either..

Anyways.. I wanna get both a vintage car and a vespa.. It would be really cool if Jerome and I could alternate between both or sth..but Jerome wants one of those flashy racing bikes.. I dunno.. I guess the first thing I have to do is to get my driver's licence first! which I am currently only in the theory segment..-_-"

Sighs.. Goodnight world! I'm sleepy! work tmw!

Life has been getting a little busy for me now...as i have just recently started working at a yogurt shop called Red Mango Froyo.. the working environment is pretty okay.. just a little hectic during peak hours! Anyways.. as I'm working I have more $$$ to spare...which i will be saving up to spend on clothing (go-go vintage wear!) and to hold a flea again most probably in August (: Another piece of awesome news.. I'm finally on http://www.lookbook.nu/ after dreaming for so many nights! YAY!

Jerome and I are currently in the planning stages of setting up a tiny business... We hope to start a regular stint of running a stall at fleas... Were really excited (especially me!) Right now, were in the mids of sourcing for goodies and beautiful bargains which we could roll out for our upcoming flea (;

Hello... this is what I wore to school yesterday (excuse the wierd smile)

Everyone from my class burst out laughing the moment I entered class.

Wonder if it was anything to do with what I was wearing..oh wells... I like what I wore... as long as I'm happy right ? The first picture is a pin I bought from Hooked on Flea 2 by Flea Titan on Sunday.Jerome got a Hitachii Vintage Camera Bag for $5..which I think is quite a steal and a really cool find

THRIFTY

A very good evening to you happy souls out there! I went thrifting this afternoon.. and i returned home with a total of 6 wonderful items...

When I arrived...I saw this girl and her mum bagging up a whole basket worth of items costing a whooping $75 !!! There was this really cool looking vintage jacket which she also bagged... That looked something like one of these:

Im a little angry with myself as... If i had gotten there a few minutes earlier I might have gotten my hands on some of her items.. :C stupid me... If only I didnt spend so much time trying to find my way there and had woken up earlier in the morning.. oh well.. i can only do so much but regret...better luck next round! Moreover... I'm rather pleased with my own purchase (;

Wearing Vintage

Hello.. to the imaginary souls out there reading my blog :) I borrowed this great book from the library.. Its a good read as it speaks of must have vintage items,styles of different eras and occassions , vintage care,thrifting tips etc...

I love this book also as it has many useful tips and beautiful brightly coloured pictures of vintage fashion (: Reading this books just makes my fingers itching to go thrift shopping! I'm also really envious... because singapore has such a limited market for vintage wear :( Sighs :C

Is it authentic?

Vintage! After doing a little bit of research online... I found out that I'm not the only one who is obsessed with Vintage... Infact there is a steady trend of growing vintage fans around the world! But that is not the focus of today's post..

Instead I would like to figure out some fire-proof ways of distinguishing true vintage pieces from those that are vintage inspired or counterfeits..Many a times I find myself wondering if the item I'm about to purchase is a true vintage piece... I feel really cheated if it isnt :C

By the way... I went to Flea.Fly.Flo.Fun. last Saturday at F1 pit building and it was amazing! It was also really cool..as there were about a handful of shops selling vintage threads and accessories..I really liked some of the dresses...
moreover they were gping really cheap at $15! However... many of them didnt fit me or looked a little too costume like.. Vintage bags were many... but I didnt think it was right to splurge on them as I already had quite a collection going for myself... There was also polaroid cameras! going at a price of $60-$120!
I didnt have much cash at hand... so I didnt wanna get it :C

I saw a really pretty pair of sparkly vintage earrings I liked..but I felt they were a little over my budget so I didnt get them :C

In the end I got myself 2 hairpins, a cool leather belt with green polo men on it and a men's red shirt! Jerome and I also had our potraits painted!

Like the Pascalli bag especially... but it looks really old school dont you think? I love that bag anyway! Its also the lastest edition to my collection. So this is my small but growing collection of Vintage Bags..What do you all think about it... I love my bags..I think each piece is unique and has its own sentimental value along with them!

TWIGGY?

Twiggy rose to stardom at the mere age of 17 after appearing in the shop window of a hair salon..Since then she was dubbed the " Face of 66" Twiggy has since appeared in numerous magazine covers and even had her own clothing line... She is known for her trade mark crop hair and painting her own eyelashes below... something which was foreign to people then!

Well...I was drawned into the Twiggy phase when I saw this beautiful dress! Its a Vintage piece from Sears made for teenage girls going at $60.00 from http://www.dylan.sg Unfortunately, the price is a little steep for me and the material is a little too stuffy for sunny singapore.Thus, I wont be getting it.

However,I did manage to find other vintage shops online! I might purchase a few of them.. will post pictures of them if i do! Love you all!
